Logically Emotional

Humans are, laden with emotional needs. No doubt about that... at all.

Every single movements, events, journeys, even thoughts are, to a certain extend, drived by emotional needs of that person for that specific time.

Love, hate, pride, compassion, faith, relations, anger, fear, lust… and more.

One can even classify the three most basic human needs; food, clothes and shelter are based on satisfying three most basic human emotions, not as an equation for survival of the species.

Let's take, for example the first basic need; food.
Most of us would probably be smiling away reading thing since, we know we could only 'consume' food that are up to our desirable taste and likings.

Doesn't that by itself proves, that quenching the 'liking' and 'satisfying' our tastebud are two different emotional needs? These are not to be mistakenly categorised as biological needs.

Given the right condition, humans would have consumed food as it is, raw, regardless of the taste that is, only if the food factor is truly a biological need essential for survival.

This view can still be argued with facts that consuming different types of food provides different nutrients needed for survival.

Well, how about clothes? When is that, humans realize the awareness, a ‘sense’ of being naked and the need to cover a minimal portion of skin?

What would we call that 'sense'? Shame? Civilised? Still, it’s just an emotion.

Right, still have space for argument though, that it is required to protect certain sensitive areas of the skin and so on…

How about shelter then? Why is there a need of having a shelter? Is it to satisfy the 'sense', or feeling of insecurity? Doesn't insecurity categorised as emotion as well?

Well yes, another lame argument is that shelter is for protection from harmful creatures. Doesn’t that confirm the existence of fear?

But, all these 'basic needs' and 'emotions' did trigger something greater in human mind than in any other life form at that time.

My opinion, it's the awareness of logical choices and sense of choosing a logical choice over emotional needs.

This awareness seemingly possess the ability to differentiate the emotional needs and isolate it, given logical choice for survival is not hiding away but to form a resistance.

Well, I don't need to explain how early humans managed to come out of cave and started exploring the known world at that time.

Seems, humans need that magic of Awareness again, in this life…
